Food Safety for Supervisors
SITXFSA006 Participate in safe food handling practices
Businesses are required to designate a food safety supervisor in some States and Territories, including Victoria. This person has to be certified as competent in this unit through a registered training organisation.
This 7-hour face-to-face course will give you all the skills and knowledge required to handle food safely during the storage, preparation, display, service and disposal of food. It requires the ability to follow predetermined procedures as outlined in a food safety program.
As part of the course there will be “hands on” practical participation; this will be the preparation of the lunch that is included on the day.
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for the unit of competence SITXFSA006 Participate in safe food handling practices.
