Have you ever looked for shells on the beach, stood in wet sand with bare feet or taken a moment to feel the warmth of sun on your back? You have practised ‘being in the moment’, also known as mindfulness.
Mindfulness helps to combat anxiety and stress. It also helps to build emotional resilience and better general health. Learn the simple tasks great for practising mindfulness.
In this free workshop, you will be encouraged to create a pattern or picture in nature, representing something that is important to you. Using natural materials such as sand, stones, leaves, twigs etc and you will be given the option to work as an individual or as a group.
Alexandra District Health would like to invite you to participate in this simple free creative workshop, to promote and encourage more mindfulness in your daily life.
Free materials and morning tea will be provided. Come along, have a cuppa and give mindfulness a go. You might be glad you did.
For catering purposes please book your free place. Or call us on 5772 1238 or 5772 0954 for more information.
