WHAT
An accredited and experienced fitter will be engaged to perform these checks for you at Alexandra Community Hub to ensure child car restraints are installed and are being used correctly. The fitter will also educate you during the check, so you are equipped to check that your child is safe in the car every trip.
WHY
70% of child car restraints are incorrectly installed or used, posing a serious safety risk to children traveling in those restraints. Correctly fitted child car restraints and booster seats play a critical part in protecting children from serious injury and death in the event of a car accident. For peace of mind, have a professional fitter check your restraints so you know your child is safe. Also available on the day will be education and activities to assist you in choosing, using, and checking your child's car restraints, as well as other related child safety information.
HOW
Bookings are essential. Parents and carers (including grandparents!) can book a free child car restraint fitting or check by registering via: https://safeseatssafekids.com.au/
*Please note, if you need to have more than 1 child car restraint fitted/checked, you will need to book multiple appointments.
HOW TO BOOK
- Head to the Safe Seats website: https://safeseatssafekids.com.au/
- Click on the Green button on the front page of the booking site.
- Enable location services. If you are not seeing a request to enable location services, then go back home page and start again.
- Once this is done, you will see a map. Alexandra should be your nearest venue. If not, you can either find it via the map, or via the search bar.
- Click on the next vailable date, and it will show a list of available timeslots.
- Click on the timeslot that suits you best to make your booking
